Swap resources with the platform at published reference rates. A small SE commission applies per order.
The market, unlocked by the Trading Post, is run by the platform: you post a resource swap and the platform's order book fills it. There is no trading between commanders — you never deal with another player, and nothing is transferred between accounts. You swap resources for resources — Space Dust, Alien Ore, and Bio-Mass in any combination. Space Energy itself is never traded on the market; it is only used to pay the commission. A flat 2% SE commission (with a small minimum) is charged on the buyer side of every order.
Prices are set by the platform, not by supply and demand. Every listing is denominated in SE per 100 units of the resource being offered, and the reference rates below are fixed — any listing you post has to fall inside a band around them, so the book never drifts away from published pricing.

A listing priced within the fair band that hasn't filled after 12 hours is bought out by the platform, so reasonable offers never sit forever. Price near the reference rate to fill faster, or list inside the fair band and let the guarantee do the work. The Trading Post's level sets how many listings you can keep open at once.
